Optimum Balance Products Ltd (obp Ltd) was commissioned
to design, develop and manufacture an off the shelf easy to fit pedal box solution for the Mazda RX-7 by AtomicRex Ltd.

The brief given to obp Ltd was: “Design a light weight
adjustable brake bias pedal box for the Mazda RX-7. The
solution needs to replace the original unit and incorporate theoriginal accelerator pedal. If possible can obp Ltd design the solution so the master cylinders do not protrude into the
engine bay”?

AtomicRex Ltd kindly donated a stripped RX-7 so obp Ltd
could design and develop the solution.

This All 3 or 2 Pedals In 1 Top Mounted / Under-slung Cable or Hydraulic Pedal Box offers the driver the highest level of efficiency in this critical area. The ergonomic design features a fabricated lightened steel brake and clutch pedals with oil impregnated spherical bushes, sets new standards in pedal box design. This pedal box is fitted with a bias bar system that controls dual master cylinders. This gives a twin fully adjustable braking system using two master cylinders. This unit has been fitted into all types of cars from performance cars, kit cars, race cars, hot rods etc.

With this product we can offer 3 different pedal ratios, 5:1, 6:1 and the ultimate 7:1 ratio.
